A: The National Speed Sport News brand represents a legacy of trustworthy motorsports journalism dating back to 1934. The weekly newspaper was the oldest and most complete publication covering motorsports.
Publication of the original National Speed Sport News ceased in March, 2011. National Speed Sport News is now used under an exclusive license agreement Turn 3 Media, LLC. Doing business as National Speed Sport News, the new owners offer the website www.nationalspeedsportnews.com, a new monthly magazine “SPEED SPORT Magazine“, and will be rolling out a variety of motorsports media products and initiatives over the coming years.
Turn 3 Media, LLC is committed to providing the highest standard of trustworthy, comprehensive motorsports news and information while offering a broader and more modern variety of platforms and content options to attract a new generation of race fans.
A: The magazine is published monthly and includes in-depth features, insightful editorial, and stunning photography. The website is updated constantly and focuses on breaking news, race results and other time-sensitive content.
Q: Where are you located?
A: Our headquarters is located in Mooresville, North Carolina. Our circulation and distribution center is located in Shawano, WI.
A: No. However, our Editor Mike Kerchner worked for Mr. Economaki for over twenty years and each and every staff member, contributor and columnist is held every day to the highest possible standards that were pioneered by Mr. Economaki. We fly the National Speed Sport News banner in his honor and wish him well.
A: Letters may be submitted by mail, fax or through this website. All letters must include a full name, daytime telephone number and mailing address. We verify letters before they are printed. A: Turn 3 Media, LLC operates National Speed Sport News under an exclusive license agreement with Kay Publishing Co. No assets or liabilities of Kay Publishing were acquired or assumed…therefore we cannot refund or provide credit for subscriptions to the old publication. However, Turn 3 Media has every desire to introduce former subscribers to the new SPEED SPORT Magazine, and therefore, for a limited time is extending new annual subscriptions by 3 months. A: Yes, many people give gift subscriptions for birthdays, Father’s Day, Christmas and other special occasions. On our Subscribe Now page you’ll see how to enter a gift subscription and how the billing address can be different from the subscription delivery address. We’ll also be glad to send the gift recipient a card notifying them of your gift.
A: Unfortunately, back issues of the old weekly National Speed Sport News are not available. SPEED SPORT Magazine back issues will become available soon.
A: Yes, in fact our approach is to select a primary “theme” or major event and provide extra coverage and focus on that particular subject each month. Go to the Publication Schedule for more information and to learn of advertising opportunities.
A: We would also be glad to talk with you about track sales opportunities. It’s a great way for individuals to make more than enough money to cover travel, accommodations, meals and ticket cost and still have plenty of time to see the races. Also, SPEED SPORT Magazine will gladly work with school or church groups to set up sales opportunities as fund-raisers. You’d be surprised at the amount of money raised by some groups.
