Tim McCreadie used the low groove around the Tulsa Expo Raceway to shock a sold-out crowd and more than 270 other competitors in Saturday night’s 20th annual Chili Bowl Nationals.

In celebration of the Silver Anniversary of this prestigious indoor midget race, will be publishing the race reports that appeared in the pages of National Speed Sport News for the first 24 runnings of the event.

Beginning with the inaugural event in 1987, race recaps will be posted on a daily basis from Dec. 18 through Jan. 10.

Anticipation Builds For Cocopah’s Winter Heat

When the inaugural Winter Heat Sprint Car Showdown is held Jan. 2-3, 6 and 9-10 at Cocopah Speedway, it certainly won’t be the first time sprint car racing’s top drivers have competed in Arizona during the winter months.

PRI NOTES: A Busy Weekend In Indy

“It’s back like it was around 2002,” said C&R Racing owner Chris Paulsen Saturday as the 27th annual PRI Trade Show concluded at the Indiana Convention Center. “It was an outstanding show. We were busy in our booth the entire show and I only managed to get out of the booth the last 30 minutes.”

Morgan Lucas, who won twice in only seven races in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Top Fuel class this past season, plans to run a seven-race campaign again in 2015.
