Decker Recounts Charge To DIRTcar Title

It was the year of Rodney Sanders in the United States Modified Touring Series, but Saturday night’s finale of the eighth annual USMTS Winter Nationals was all about Kelly Shryock.

Danny Johnson and 14-year-old Tyler Dippel traded the lead multiple times during the final 10 laps of Saturday night’s Super DIRTcar Series portion of the Bad Boy Buggies World of Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte, but Dippel made a mistake with a little more than two laps remaining and Johnson stormed past to earn his fifth victory of the season and the 77th of his legendary career

Sanders Rockets From 16th To Victory

Rodney Sanders added another USMTS feature win to bring his season total to 27 and added the Ark-La-Tex Speedway to his list of conquered venues Friday night after winning the 40-lap main event on the second night of the 8th Annual USMTS Winter Nationals.
