Jeg Coughlin Jr. Joins Elite Motorsports

Elite Motorsports owner Richard Freeman announced Sunday that five-time Pro Stock world champion Jeg Coughlin Jr. will drive a second car for his race team at the NHRA national events in Sonoma, Calif., Seattle, and Indianapolis. Coughlin will run the Rick Jones-built Camaro that Erica Enders raced to the world title last season.

NHRA announced Tuesday that Lucas Oil has signed an agreement to become title rights sponsor of the 13th stop in the 2015 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, the Lucas Oil Route 66 NHRA Nationals presented by General Tire at Route 66 Raceway near Chicago.
