Finally! Will Power Is An IndyCar Champion

How ironic that in a season when he was nailed for a series of drive-through speeding penalties that Will Power would clinch his first Verizon IndyCar Series championship when his teammate and only championship contender Helio Castroneves lost his chance with a drive-through penalty.

Aleshin Hurt In IndyCar Crash

A hard crash into the turn-three fence by Verizon IndyCar Series rookie Mikhail Aleshin has sent the driver from Russia to Loma Linda University Hospital where according to Dr. Terry Trammell, IndyCar Medical Consultant, Aleshin was diagnosed with fractured ribs, a broken right clavicle, a concussion and chest injuries

Castroneves Strikes First, Wins IndyCar Pole

Shortly before Helio Castroneves attempted his pole winning qualification attempt on Friday for Saturday night’s MAVTV 500 at Auto Club Speedway, a power outage hit the facility. That came after another “Power Outage” as Verizon IndyCar Series points leader Will Power had a terrible qualification attempt and will start 21st in the 22-car field.

Houston Off IndyCar Schedule Next Year
