Chip Ganassi Racing Teams announced Tuesday that development driver Sage Karam will join the team’s Verizon IndyCar Series lineup in the No. 8 Chevrolet for the second race of the series at the Indy Grand Prix of Louisiana at NOLA Motorsports Park this weekend.

KV Racing Technology announced Tuesday that local Louisiana based oil field rental tool company, Variable Bore Rams, Inc. (VBR) will be the primary sponsor of the No. 4 Variable Bore Rams – KV Racing Technology Chevrolet/Dallara/Firestone car driven by Stefano Coletti at the Indy Grand Prix of Louisiana this weekend.

Following last week’s announcement that Simona de Silvestro would become Andretti Autosport’s fifth entry for the 99th Running of the Indianapolis 500, the team confirmed today the Swiss racer will be back with the four-time IndyCar champions for the second round of Verizon IndyCar Series competition this weekend in New Orleans.
