The Trans Am Series “Fast Five” qualifying format made its formal return today at Homestead Miami Speedway, round two of the 2015 Trans Am Championship, and featured a strong showing from hometown drivers with Miami natives taking three of the four class pole positions while Windermere, Fla., native Cameron Lawrence took the TA2 lead position to keep all poles within the sunshine state.

The SCCA Tire Rack ProSolo season made its official start this past weekend at El Toro, after an aborted event in Blytheville, Ark., caused by extreme winter weather. Brian Peters took the Super Challenge win in what may be the final event at the site, as the area is set to undergo commercial development later this year. Shelly Monfort was the Ladies Challenge winner.
