Taylor Fends Off Cameron At Canadian Tire

Jordan Taylor overtook late-race leader Dane Cameron to win the Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix presented by Hawk Performance at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park by less than a half-second in the only appearance outside the U.S. for the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.

Derrick Walker hasn’t yet resorted to running classified ads, but it may soon come to that as his TUDOR United SportsCar Championship Porsche 911 RSR team, with drivers Wolf Henzler and Bryan Sellers, contemplate life without Falken Tire.

Constructors Selected For New Prototype

After eight months’ work and a two-month selection process, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO), the International Motor Sports Ass’n (IMSA) and the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), have chosen the four constructors who will supply chassis for the cars that will compete in the Le Mans Prototypes 2 category in ACO- and FIA-governed series and the Prototype class of the IMSA-sanctioned TUDOR United SportsCar Championship beginning in 2017, when the category’s new regulations come into force.

Westbrook, Valiante Prevail At The Glen

A fast, rainy, IMSA Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen ended under the caution flag, as a late-race crash couldn’t be cleared in time to allow for a green flag finish. But it’s still a win for the No. 90 VisitFlorida.com Chevrolet Corvette Daytona Prototype, driven by Richard Westbrook and Michael Valiante.
