TUDOR SportsCar Teams Prep For IMS

The repaved and revised 14-turn Grand Prix road course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway may be new to the competitors in Friday’s Brickyard Grand Prix, but the vaunted Brickyard itself is a familiar place to many drivers who will compete in the first event at Indy since the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series and American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón combined to form the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.

Marsh Racing has announced the addition of Burt Frisselle to the team’s No. 31 Whelen Engineering Corvette Daytona Prototype for the next two IMSA TUDOR United SportsCar Championship events at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Road America in which Frisselle will co-drive with Eric Curran.

Yacaman Earns First United SportsCar Pole

After finishing third at Detroit and second at Watkins Glen Int’l in the two most recent TUDOR United SportsCar Championship races, OAK Racing came to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park looking to step up to the top of the victory podium.

MOMO NGT Leaves TUDOR Championship

After competing in the first five events of the GT Daytona class in the IMSA TUDOR United SportsCar Championship, the No. 30 MOMO NGT Motorsport entry of Henrique Cisneros and Kuba Giermaziak is withdrawing from the series for the remainder of the 2014 racing season, with the exception of the Lone Star Le Mans in Austin, Texas in September.
