Portsmouth Lucas LM Stop Cancelled

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio – Officials of Portsmouth Raceway Park and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series have made the decision to cancel tonight’s Independence 50 at Portsmouth Raceway Park due to rains continuing throughout the remainder of the evening and night.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will make its return to PRP on Labor Day weekend, with the annual Portsmouth “River Days Rumble” on Aug. 31. The event will include RED BUCK Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and the 50-Lap, $10,000-to-win main event.

The series will return to action next weekend with a pair of Midwest show-downs. On July 11 the series heads to Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, Ill., and then heads to Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo., for the annual “Diamond Nationals” on July 12.
