Daughters Gets On The Board In Missouri

GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. – Mason Daughters captured his first Iron Man Challenge victory Thursday night in the 20-lap USRA B-Mod main event the Valley Speedway.

After trailing polesitter Jake Richards for the first four laps, Daughters maneuvered into the lead on lap 5 and remained there over the final 15 laps to bag the $500 top prize at the three-eighths-mile clay oval.

Points leader Cory Crapser padded his advantage over second-place Dan Wheeler as the two finished second and third, respectively, with USRA B-Mod national points leader Troy Hovey finishing fourth while Richards held on for fifth.

Chad Staus, Dakota Foster, Curtis Berry, David Pierce and Jason Park rounded out the top 10.

Crapser continues to lead the Iron Man Challenge points for the USRA B-Mods over Wheeler, Jared Timmerman, Hovey, Foster, Jacob Bleess, Richards, Daughters, Steve Goodman and Shawn Strong.
