DIRTcar Withdraws Winter Extreme Sanction

CONCORD, N.C. – DIRTcar Racing has withdrawn its sanctioning of the upcoming Jan. 12-20 Winter Extreme Late Model event at Tucson Int’l Raceway, organization officials announced on Tuesday.
The six-race series was slated to offer DIRTcar UMP national and Southwest States points after DIRTcar and Tucson officials struck an agreement last month, but DIRTcar was ultimately forced to rescind the events sanctioning because Tucson management opted not to follow DIRTcar rules.
The Winter Extreme announcement does not affect the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series Wildcat Shootout scheduled for March 9 at Tucson Int’l Raceway.
