Lincoln Electric Backs RUSH Late Models

PULASKI, Penn. – With Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC Weekly Series Late Model action set to get underway next weekend and the Touring Series opener at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex on April 19 fast approaching, RUSH Directors Vicki Emig and Mike Leone continue to add additional programs and contingency sponsors around the Series.

The newest addition to the Series is nationally-known Lincoln Electric, who becomes a 2013 Major Contingency Sponsor. Lincoln Electric’s contribution to the 2013 season will be two Power Mig 140C machines with two utility carts, valued at $750 each.

“Lincoln Electric is a great name to have join our growing list of marketing partners,” stated Emig. “To be able to continue to attract national companies on board with RUSH speaks volumes about our Series. Even though they are a national company, it’s nice to know they aren’t located too far from my office in Cleveland, Ohio. I met Lincoln’s Mickey Holmes in 2011 at I.M.I.S. and we began to develop a good relationship, which I hope we can continue long into the future.”

One of Lincoln’s Power Mig 140C machines and utility cart will be given away of course on August 31 at the Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC Touring Series “Manufacturers Night” event at Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway. The second will be going to a RUSH racer on June 8 at Sharon Speedway in conjunction with Lincoln Electric’s Corporate Night at the speedway.

These welders will be great additions to the fortunate RUSH teams that receive them as not only can they be utilized in their shops, but also adaptable for use in their haulers as they travel up and down the roads throughout the season.

Speaking of “Manufacturers Night”, not only will $1,500 be on the line for the second Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC Touring event at Pittsburgh, but over $30,000 in prizes is expected to be doled out with each competing racer going home with a valuable prize!

“We are excited about partnering with the new RUSH Racing Series,” stated Mickey Holmes, Lincoln Electric’s Manager of Sports Marketing. “Grassroots racing is the heart of our motorsports program and this relationship will certainly help to strengthen the “Lincoln Welders” brand.”
