Sunoco Continues To Support IMCA
LINWOOD, Pa. — Sunoco Race Fuels returns to three high-profile IMCA contingency programs next season.
Manufacturer of the official fuel of IMCA, Sunoco continues as title sponsor for both the IMCA Stock Car and IMCA Hobby Stock divisions, paying point funds for top 15 finishers in national point standings for each class.
National point fund for the Stocks is $5,000. The Hobby Stock point fund is $3,000.
Sunoco has also renewed its sponsorship of the Stock Car Race of Champions held during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals and will provide the $2,000 purse for that event.
Drivers with perfect attendance in the 2013 Deery Brothers Summer Series become eligible for $250 drawings when they qualify for Late Model tour events.
Sunoco will give another $2,000 in cash to be divided equally among drivers who compete at all series races.
Drivers in all three divisions must display two Sunoco decals on their race car and compete with Sunoco race fuel or race gas to be eligible for point fund shares or cash awards.
No change has been made in eligibility for the Race of Champions, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 7 at Boone Speedway: 2013 track champions or point leaders in attendance, and former national champions, Super Nationals champions and race winners can attempt to qualify for the 13th annual event..
“After a great meeting with Sunoco representatives at the PRI trade show recently, the decision to renew our partnership for another three years was welcomed by both parties,” said IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “Their support and product quality remains an integral part of the success of these IMCA divisions and we are really excited about kicking off the 2013 racing season with Sunoco remaining our official fuel.”
