Rain Stops Outlaw Late Models
by NSSN Staff
MIDDLEBOURNE, W. Va. — A wet week for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series continued on Saturday night with a rain-out of the third annual Black Diamond 125 at Tyler County Speedway.
Circle Track Management’s Frank Wilson made the decision to call off the evening’s $150,000-plus event after a thunderstorm struck the quarter-mile oval around 4:30 p.m. It marked the third rainout in the last four scheduled WoO LMS shows over the past week.
More than 60 cars were in the pit area for the program, which was to include a pair of 40-lap, $10,000-to-win preliminary features and the $20,000-to-win ‘Talented Twenty’ finale for the top 10 finishers in each prelim.
