Auto-Plus Presenting NHRA U.S. Nationals

GLENDORA, Calif. – NHRA announced today that Uni-Select, USA’s Auto-Plus brand has been named the presenting sponsor of the Mac Tools U.S Nationals, presented by Auto-Plus, Aug. 29–Sept. 3 at Lucas Oil Raceway in Clermont, Ind.

“Our NHRA program is a strategic initiative that continues to help our Auto-Plus stores across the country strengthen relationships with local professional technicians and DIYers,” said Brent Windom, Uni-Select vice president North American Marketing and Product Development. “The Mac Tools U.S. Nationals, presented by Auto-Plus, will demonstrate our commitment to supporting this exciting sport and its incredibly loyal and knowledgeable fans.”

Uni-Select’s support of the U.S. Nationals marks yet another expansion of involvement for Uni-Select USA in NHRA and its network of automotive stores and services, including Auto-Plus retailers and Auto Service Plus centers.

In addition to becoming the presenting sponsorship of the biggest, oldest, richest and most prestigious drag race in the world, Auto-Plus is title sponsor of the 28th annual Auto-Plus NHRA Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, Pa., Oct. 4-7.

Auto-Plus also secured naming rights of the famed NHRA-owned racing facility in Gainesville, Fla. earlier this season, now known as Auto-Plus Raceway at Gainesville. The company is the official auto parts store for both Atlanta Dragway and Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

In addition, Auto-Plus has retained the services of reigning NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series Funny Car champion driver Matt Hagan as the company’s North American spokesperson and has a strategic alliance with Funny Car driver Blake Alexander and the Paul Smith Racing team at nine key NHRA events in 2012.
