The Herald & Review 100, part of the UMP DIRTcar Summernationals schedule, has been rescheduled for July 21 at Macon (Ill.) Speedway. A late-afternoon thunderstorm forced the cancellation of the event on July 5. Four of the first 17 events on the Summernationals schedule were postponed due to rain… Noblesville, Ind.-based driver Ian Baas, 24, has been signed for the remainder of the 2007 Grand Am Rolex Series GT season by Farnbacher Loles Racing. Baas made his debut with the team at Thursday’s Brumos Porsche 250… The NASCAR Foundation announced that driver Bill Elliott will serve as the official 2007 spokesperson for its Friends of the Foundation program. Elliott, a former series champion, is currently the driver of the Wood Brothers No. 21 Ford Fusion… The O’Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour (ASCoT) series event set for July 13 at Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, Okla., has been cancelled. According to ASCoT officials, new management at the track decided against hosting the series… ARDC midget driver Jeff Schell, a second-generation pilot from Coatesville, Pa., flipped out of Susquehenna Speedway Park and was airlifted from the track during the July 3 ARDC feature. Schell suffered a concussion but was otherwise all right, according to his father, Fred Schell... Fulton (N.Y.) Speedway has cancelled its previously scheduled  World of Outlaws sprint-car event. The race, which would have been in its third year at the track, was to be held on July 24.
