Cameron Set For Return To McAnally
ANTELOPE, Calif. — After a three-year hiatus from stock cars, Austin Cameron will return to the NASCAR Camping World Series West, reuniting with NAPA and Bill McAnally Racing.
At the wheel of the NAPA-sponsored BMR entry, the 31-year-old driver won a combined 13 victories in his time with the NAPA and BMR in 2002-2004. He finished second in the Camping World Series West twice and claimed the rookie-of-the-year title in 1998.
“With the added exposure due to the addition of the new series sponsor, Camping World, and some additional changes at BMR, we are wanting drivers that win races and contend for a championship,” explained Bill McAnally. “I know Austin will win races; the question is how many.”
The 13-race season will open in Roseville, Calif., at All American Speedway March 29.
