CMP Reopens After Facelift, Launches Club

Carolina Motorsports Park

KERSHAW, S.C. — Carolina Motorsports Park has reopened after undergoing extensive track renovations during the off-season.
A new management team is in place and has added alternate turn configurations, built 24-bay garages, added a 200-foot wet-dry skid pad, and repaved most of the corners. The recent work was the beginning of what is to be a multi-phase track overhaul.
In addition to the physical renovations and additions, CMP has officially launched The Palmetto Motorsports Club. The club has been created to offer affordable and easy track access to anyone with a passion for speed. Carolina Motorsports Park, which is sanctioned by the Sports Car Club of America, features a 14-turn, 2.23-mile road course designed by Alan Wilson and built in 1999.
