Ross Motorsports Goes Out Of Business
ALBANY, N.Y. — Randy Ross, a dirt -modified car owner for more than 20 years, announced the dissolution of the No. 44 Ross Motorsports dirt modified team, effective immediately.
“It’s the hard economic times and the static modified purses,” explained Ross who funded the team with his personal finances. The bulk of the team assets will likely be sold to Jeff Brownell of Waterloo, N.Y., and the plans of driver Matt Sheppard are unclear, though Ross said he expects the driver will relocate to western New York to work with Brownell.
Ross Motorsports raced in the past in Advanced Auto Parts DIRTcar Modified events throughout the United States.
“I want to thank everyone who supported me over the years,” said Ross. “That includes our fans and my long-time loyal crew members. Without them we wouldn’t have been as successful, nor would it have been as much fun.”
