Power Rankings - April 30, 2008
No. 1 Kyle Busch
No. 18 Toyotas, NASCAR Sprint Cup/Nationwide Series
Busch’s second Sprint Cup victory this season vaulted him ahead of the idle Billy Moyer in this week’s rankings. Busch now has seven victories in NASCAR’s top three series this season, including three in Nationwide and two in Craftsman Trucks, and remains in the top 10 in each’s championship standings.
2. Billy Moyer
No. 21 Moyer Victory Circle, Late Model
With 10 victories in 23 starts this season, no one has been hotter than “Mr. Smooth.” Only the rain has cooled him off so far.
3. Kimi Raikkonen
No. 1 Ferrari, Formula One
The “Iceman” earned his second victory of the season at the Spanish Grand Prix and now has three podiums in four races.
4. Jeff Burton
No. 31 Chevrolet, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series
Burton maintained his Sprint Cup point lead with a quiet 12th-place finish at Talladega.
5. Carl Edwards
Nos. 99/60 Fords, NASCAR Sprint Cup/Nationwide Series
It was a tough weekend at Talladega for Edwards, who finished 40th in Sprint Cup and 31st in the Nationwide Series.

No. 01 Telmex Ganassi Lexus Riley, Grand Am
Ganassi flexed its muscle for its third overall victory of the season this past weekend at Virginia Int’l Raceway.
7. Jason Meyers
No. 14 KPC Sprint Car, World of Outlaws
Meyers’s early momentum was thwarted by rain once again as the WoO was unable to get on the track due to weather.
8. Antron Brown
Matco Tools Dragster, NHRA Top Fuel
Brown earned his second finals victory of the season, this one coming over Top Fuel kingpin Tony Schumacher at the Southern Nationals.
9. Ashley Force
Castrol GTX Ford Mustang, NHRA Funny Car
Force earned her long-awaited first finals victory at Atlanta and stretched her Funny Car championship point lead.
10. Helio Castroneves
No. 3 Team Penske Dallara-Honda, IndyCar Series
IRL point-leader Castroneves has been the model of consistency with yet another top-five finish over the weekend at Kansas.
HONORABLE MENTION
NHRA Pro Stock driver Mike Edwards won for the first time since 2006... Former F-1 driver Scott Speed captured his first stock-car victory with an ARCA RE/MAX triumph at Kansas.
