No. 15 J&J Sprint Car, World of Outlaws
Schatz banked $50,000 for winning the National Open at Williams Grove Speedway for the fourth time Saturday night. It was his 17th victory of the year, including the Knoxville Nationals, Kings Royal, Summer Nationals and Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup.

No. 27 Canadien Club Honda, IndyCar Series
With the IndyCar Series championship and the Indianapolis 500 in the bag, Franchitti is setting his sights on NASCAR.

3. Dave Connolly
Torco Chevrolet Cobalt, NHRA Pro Stock
Connolly will put his four-race winning streak on the line this weekend at Virginia Motorsports Park.

4. Lewis Hamilton
No.  2 McLaren Mercedes, Formula One
Hamilton extended his lead in the World Driving Championship with his fourth triumph of the season.

5. Jimmie Johnson
No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet, Nextel Cup
With a third-place finish Sunday in Kansas, the defending Nextel Cup champion returned to the top of the standings.

6. Jon Fogarty/Alex Gurney
No. 99 Gainsco Pontiac, Grand Am Rolex Series
With their season complete, Gurney and Fogarty already have their eyes on the 2008 campaign.

7. Sebastien Bourdais
No. 1 McDonald’s Panoz, Champ Car World Series
Bourdais should be well rested when the series returns to competition in Australia later this month.

8. Jeff Gordon
No. 24 DuPont Chevrolet, Nextel Cup
Gordon finished fifth Sunday at Kansas Speedway and currently ranks second in the Nextel Cup standings.

9. Jon Stanbrough
No. 53 Foxco Sprint Car, Non-Winged Sprints
Stanbrough collected his 30th non-winged sprint-car triumph of the season Friday at Gas City (Ind.) I-69 Speedway.

10. Joey Saldana
No. 9 JEI Sprint Car, World of Outlaws
Saldana finished seventh twice and 21st once during three World of Outlaws sprint-car events.

Honorable Mention

Gary Wright romped to his 13th American Sprint Cars on Tour triumph of the season, while Chris Perley grabbed his 10th ISMA supermodified victory.

Last Week

Adding yet another crowned jewel to his resume, with his fourth Williams Grove Speedway National Open triumph, World of Outlaws point leader Donny Schatz returned to the top of the rankings.
