Power Rankings: September 26, 2007
NSSN ranks the top 10 drivers from all forms of motorsports.
1. Dario Franchitti
No. 27 Canadian Club Honda, IndyCar Series
The IndyCar Series season is over, but Franchitti hangs on to the top spot in the rankings for the second-consecutive week.
Franchitti, who is expected to make his stock-car racing debut later this year, is expected to race in NASCAR next season.

Torco Chevrolet Cobalt, NHRA Pro Stock
Connolly charged to his fourth-straight Pro Stock triumph and took a commanding lead atop the standings.
3. Donny Schatz
No. 15 J&J Sprint Car, World of Outlaws
Schatz blew a tire while leading at Eldora Speedway, but battled back through the field to finish seventh.
4. Joey Saldana
No. 9 JEI Sprint Car, World of Outlaws
Saldana posted his 12th World of Outlaws triumph of the season Friday at Eldora Speedway.
5. Jon Fogarty/Alex Gurney
No. 99 Gainsco Pontiac, Grand Am Rolex Series
Fogarty and Gurney have finished their season and are already beginning to make preparations for 2008.
6. Jimmie Johnson
No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet, Nextel Cup
Johnson finished 14th at Dover Int’l Speedway and fell out of the point lead. He trails Jeff Gordon by four points.
7. Tony Stewart
No. 20 Home Depot Chevrolet, Nextel Cup
Stewart was ninth at Dover, Del., and is only two points behind Gordon heading to Kansas this Sunday.
8. Sebastien Bourdais
No. 1 McDonald’s Panoz, Champ Car World Series
Bourdais continues to await the final two Champ Car events of the season in Australia and Mexico City.
9. Lewis Hamilton
No. 2 McLaren Mercedes, Formula One
The Formula One teams get back on the track this weekend in Japan. Hamilton leads Fernando Alonso by two markers.
10. Carl Edwards
No. 99 Office Depot Ford, Nextel Cup
Edwards posted his third Cup Series victory of the season and continues to lead the Busch Series standings.
Honorable Mention
Jerry Coons, Jr. earned his first USAC Silver Crown Series victory during Saturday’s 4-Crown Nationals at Eldora Speedway. Coons is also the USAC National Midget Series point leader.
