No. 15 J&J Sprint Car, World of Outlaws
Another weekend rainout kept Schatz and his WoO competition off the track for the second-straight week. The defending WoO champion and the rest of the series are scheduled to finally get back on track March 1 in the desert at Phoenix’s Manzanita Speedway.


2. Billy Moyer

No. 21 Moyer Victory Circle, Dirt Late Model
“Mr. Smooth” has collected six victories, 12 top fives and 14 top-10 finishes in 18 starts against elite late-model competition this season.

3. Tony Schumacher

U.S. Army Dragster, NHRA Top Fuel
Schumacher made it to the Top Fuel semifinals this past weekend at Chandler, Ariz., falling to eventual winner Larry Dixon in the round.

4. Ryan Newman

No. 12 Alltel Dodge, Sprint Cup
Newman followed up his Daytona 500 victory with a whirlwind media tour and a 10th-place finish at California.

5. Tony Stewart

No. 20 Toyotas, Sprint/Nationwide Series
Stewart won his second-straight Nationwide Series race and was seventh in Sprint Cup, notching his second top-10 finish.

6. Kyle Busch

Nos. 18/32/51 Toyotas, Sprint/Nationwide/Craftsman Truck Series
Busch is the point-leader in both the Sprint and Craftsman Truck series after a truck victory, a second (Nationwide) and a fourth (Sprint).

7. Alex Gurney/Jon Fogarty

No. 99 Gainsco Pontiac, Grand Am
The balance of the Grand Am season is waiting for the defending series champions. Their next race is a month away at Homestead, Fla.

8. Kimi Raikkonen

No. 1 Ferrari, Formula One
F-1 teams, including that of the defending World Driving Champion, are wrapping up pre-season tests with sights set on Australia.

9. Todd Bodine

No. 30 Toyota Tundra, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series
Bodine followed up his long-awaited victory at Daytona Int’l Speedway with a runner-up finish at California.

10. Davey Ray

No. 68 Aggressor Speedcar/No. 88 Aggressor Midget
The Iowan dominated Down Under with victories in the Australian Speedcar championship and the Int’l Midget World Series.


Honorable Mention
NHRA Pro Stock driver V Gaines ended a seven-year drought when he captured the Wally with a finals victory over Jason Line, which followed a semi-final win over Jeg Coughlin.

Last Week
Dale Earnhardt, Jr.’s tough weekend dropped him out of the standings from No. 7. Billy Moyer moved ahead of Tony Schumacher to the No. 2 spot, while Tony Stewart and Kyle Busch moved up as well.
