Through The Lens: Brandon Bernstein
Second-generation drag racer Brandon Bernstein is in the midst of the best season of his career.
The driver of the Bud King dragster has won six races this season, bringing his career total to 18. He is solidly in the hunt to earn his first NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series championship.
Bernstein stepped into the cockpit in 2003 after his legendary father Kenny, who has since returned to racing, retired from the sport.
Brandon was successful in Top Alcohol and worked as a crew member on his dad’s car before taking up driving. He was named the Auto Club Road to the Future award winner after the 2003 NHRA season.
He owns a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Texas A&M University.
