Through The Lens: Daryn Pittman
Currently ranked in the top five in the World of Outlaws standings, Oklahoma driver Daryn Pittman has been a regular with the winged sprint-car series since 1999.
Pittman, 29, started racing quarter midgets in 1987 and eventually made the progression into sprint cars, winning the American Sprint Car Series rookie of the year award in 1996. He was named rookie of the year at the Knoxville Nationals in 1998.
Pittman became the first American driver to win the Australian World Series Sprintcar title during the 2002-2003 season.
Pittman has 24 career World of Outlaws victories, including five this season.
