Through The Lens: Doug Herbert
Top Fuel drag racer Doug Herbert has been a regular on the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series for more than a decade.
A California native, Herbert’s team is headquartered in Cherryville, N.C. One of the eight qualifiers for the NHRA’s inaugural Countdown to the Championship this year, Herbert won at Maple Grove Raceway in August.
He has nine-career NHRA national event victories to his credit.
Before joining the NHRA circuit full time, Herbert was a kingpin on the IHRA drag racing tour, winning 20 national events and claiming the Top Fuel title three-consecutive years (1994-96).
