Through The Lens: Steve Grissom
Now, 44, Alabama native Steve Grissom was one of NASCAR’s rising stars during the early 1990s.
Having won the All Pro late-model championship, Grissom graduated to the NASCAR Busch Series. He won his first of 11 Busch Series races in 1988, and he claimed the series championship in 1993.
Grissom advanced to the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series full-time in 1994. He has 151 Cup Series starts to his credit with five top-five finishes and no victories.
Grissom, who has raced just once this season, has 307 Busch Series starts and 42 top-five efforts in that division.
Grissom’s son, Kyle, is an up-and-coming late-model driver.
