Through The Lens: Tim Kaeding
Now back at home on the California circuit, third-generation sprint-car driver Tim Kaeding has been one of the country’s biggest winners in recent seasons.
Kaeding has won races with the World of Outlaws, National Sprint Tour, All Star Circuit of Champions and Golden State Challenge Series.
His breakthrough season came in 2006 when he won 15 races with the now-defunct National Sprint Tour while driving for Steve Kinser Racing. Kaeding started this year with the team but lost his ride when sponsorship money did not materialize.
With more than 50 victories in his career, he is the son of legendary driver Brent Kaeding and the grandson of longtime California ace Howard Kaeding. As well, his brother, Bud, is a successful USAC racer.
