McLaren Sweeps Italy Front Row

MONZA, Italy – Lewis Hamilton picked up his fourth pole of the season during qualifying Saturday for the Formula One Italian Grand Prix at Autodromo Nazionale Monza.

Hamilton grabbed the pole from McLaren teammate Jenson Button with his best lap of 1:24.010.

Ferrari’s Felipe Massa will start third at Monza Sunday. Force India’s Paul di Resta qualified fourth, but will drop five positions on the grid because of a gearbox change.

Michael Schumacher qualified fifth in his Mercedes, followed by defending World Champion Sebastian Vettel in sixth.

Current World Championship leader Fernando Alonso qualified his Ferrari in the 10th position.
