SINGAPORE — Red Bull restored the status quo on the Marina Bay Street Circuit on Friday evening as Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber dominated the second practice session for the 2013 Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix.

Vettel turned the quickest lap at one minute and 44.249 seconds, going .604 seconds quicker than his Australian teammate.

“It was quite busy,” Vettel said of the session. “It’s pretty hot out there, good fun and a nice place, but for all of us it’s quite hard work. The time we set was a surprise today, I got a good lap in, but I don’t think it’s completely representative. We seem to be quick, but I think Mercedes will be very strong in qualifying tomorrow. I think Turn 10 is the best solution we have with the space that’s available.”

Mercedes teammates Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton were third and fourth.

Romain Grosjean was fifth for Lotus with Fernando Alonso clocking the sixth-best lap for Ferrari.
