Red Bull has launched the car with which they hope to win their fourth successive Formula One championship double this season.

The Renault-powered RB9 was unveiled at the team’s UK factory in Milton Keynes on Sunday.

The Adrian Newey-designed machine, the ninth Formula One car produced by Red Bull, will be raced by the squad’s unchanged driver line-up of world champion Sebastian Vettel and team mate Mark Webber.

Newey said the RB9 is very much an evolution of its predecessor, thanks to the limited regulation changes, with the emphasis on detail improvements.

He stressed the importance of in-season development and getting to grips quickly with Pirelli’s revised 2013 tires, the construction of which all the teams sampled briefly in Brazil last November.

The RB9 will make its track debut in Spain on Tuesday with Webber at the wheel, when the first of three pre-season tests begins at Jerez.
