Vettel Keeps Red Bull Out Front
GREATER NOIDA, India – Sebastian Vettel continued to lead the Red Bull charge by topping both practice sessions on Friday for the Formula One Indian Grand Prix at the Buddh Int’l Circuit.
Vettel, the only man to win in Formula One competition at tbe Buddh Int’l Circuit, set the top lap in opening practice with his beset lap of 1:26.683. That edged Red Bull teammate Mark Webber, who clocked in at 1:26.871.
The Mercedes of Nico Rosberg was third, ahead of the Lotus of Romain Grosjean and the second Mercedes driven by Lewis Hamilton.
The Red Bull teammates continued to set the pace in the second practice, with Vettel backing up his first practice time with a lap of 1:25.722. Webber chased him with a best lap of 1:26.011.
Grosjean improved to third fastest in practice two, followed closely by Hamilton and the Ferrari of Fernando Alonso.
Vettel will attempt to clinch his fourth-straight Formula One World Championship this weekend.
