Kaiser Ready For Second Pro Mazda Season

BROWNSBURG, Ind. — Promising young driver Kyle Kaiser is preparing to launch his second year in the Pro Mazda Championship with the Juncos Racing squad.

Anxious to capitalize off the experience gained last year as a rookie, Kaiser is looking forward to this season at Juncos Racing.

“During the off season I’ve had the opportunity to see the passion and hard work Juncos Racing puts into its program, and I’m very confident and optimistic for the new season,” said Kaiser. “This year will also be my first time driving with teammates, which will only be more advantageous for myself and the race team every race weekend.”

In 2012 Kaiser joined the Mazda Road to Indy developmental ladder, making his professional open-wheel debut at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, Calif., in the Star Mazda Championship. He went on to compete as a rookie in 2013, running the full 2013 Pro Mazda Championship season, finishing seventh overall and placing in the top five in multiple races.

In the seven years prior to advancing to open wheel cars, Kaiser competed at various levels of karting — many of which ended in podium finishes, including a Grand National Championship. In 2010, he competed in the Skip Barber Western Regional Championship, finishing second overall and claiming the Rookie of the Year title. Kaiser finished third overall in the 2011 Skip Barber Western Regional Championship before moving on to claim his first championship in the 2012 Formula Car Challenge.

Juncos Racing’s team owner Ricardo Juncos has complete faith in Kaiser’s abilities and predicts a successful future for the young driver.

“We had the chance to test Kyle Kaiser last December in the open test at Barber (Motorsports Park, Leeds, Ala.),” said Juncos. “He left a very good impression on the whole team, and he showed excellent technique and solid personality — all of which are good qualities to have as a race car driver. I’m very happy with his commitment to us for this 2014 season. This will be his second year in the Pro Mazda. I have no doubt that he will be at the top soon and will fight for wins.

“I am very excited to get back into the Pro Mazda Championship. With more teams and cars entering the series this year, it will be even more competitive than my rookie season,” said Kaiser.
