Busy Slate For NCRA Southern Sport Mods
MIDWEST CITY, Okla. — The fastest growing National Championship Racing Ass’n division, the NCRA Southern Sport Modified Series will host 17 events in four different states this year.
The season begins April 3 at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kan., before heading west to the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, Kan., April 3.
After a two-week break the series returns to action April 15 at Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee, Okla. Drivers will then head east to Crawford County Speedway in Van Buren, Ark. It will be the first ever appearance by any NCRA division at the track, which has been sanctioned by the NCRA for 41 years.
The tour will travel to Beaver (Okla.) County Raceway for a show May 21, then to Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas, June 11. Next up will be a trip to Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kan., June 17-18. The series then moves to Enid (Okla.) Speedway June 26.
Next on tap will be the 55th running of the Hutchinson Grand Nationals at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, Kan., July 16. Eight days later (July 24) the tour returns to Enid Speedway before the tour makes its first trip to Salina Highbanks Speedway in Salina, Okla., July 30.
A stop at Enid Speedway Aug. 14 will be followed by the first trip for the division to Humboldt (Kan.) Speedway Sept 9. The tour returns to Enid Speedway Oct. 1-2 for the Enid Winter Nationals before closing the season Oct. 8 at 81 Speedway.
