Fall-Line Signs Sponsor, Drivers
CHICAGO — Fall-Line Motorsports and the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation have teamed up to field a BMW M3 in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series Grand Sport division this year.
Al Carter and Hugh Plumb will share driving duties of the No. 45 B+ Racing/Fall-Line Motorsports BMW M3. Carter is a two-time Skip Barber Series Masters champion. Plumb is a veteran road racer who finished second in the Grand Am Rolex Series GT standings in 2003 and second in the Continental Tire Grand Sport division in 2006.
“I’m very excited to be joining Fall-Line Motorsports to drive a BMW M3 in the 2011 Continental Tire Challenge and represent the B+ Foundation,” said Carter. “Our car will proudly be carrying the sponsorship of the B+ Foundation. This foundation was founded to honor the legacy of Andrew McDonough and is doing tremendous work in helping children and their families in their battle against childhood cancers. As a cancer survivor myself, I hope to bring recognition to this worthy cause.”
Andrew McDonough was a 14-year-old athlete from Wilmington, Del. He went from playing four soccer games on a Saturday in 2007 to cardiac arrest and a diagnosis of leukemia and sepsis just 48 hours later.
