Hughes Opens Arena USA With Victory

RICHMOND, Va. — Emphatically marking himself as a Pro Series title contender, Tyler Hughes rolled to a dominant victory in the 50-lap Top Dog race, the featured event of Saturday evening’s season-opening Richmond 200 for Arena Racing USA at the Richmond Coliseum.
Hughes took the lead from Robbie Davis on lap 23 and pulled away to post a 5.128-second victory over Peter Hunt, who finished second.
Dylan Loving, Davis and Troy Doggett completed the top five.
Huges won the Pro Series A main and Albert Falk topped the B main.
Garrett Manes topped the youth series feature.
