Vandergriff Commits To Full NHRA Schedule

BROWNSBURG, Ind. — Top Fuel driver Bob Vandergriff has decided to contest the full NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series schedule this year with sponsorship from C&J Energy Services.

“It’s been a great honor to represent C&J for the past two seasons on a partial schedule and I can’t express my sincere appreciation that they have seen the direct benefits of being involved in NHRA Drag Racing, which motivated them to increase their support and has allowed us to compete for a full season this year,” said Vandergriff, who doubles as the team owner.

Besides receiving a full-season commitment from C&J Energy Services, the team has hired Richard Hogan as crew chief, who will work with Jim Dupuy in leading Vandergriff Motorsports in 2011.

Another recent change occurred when Vandergriff Motorsports moved their entire racing operation from Alpharetta, Ga. to Brownsburg, Ind., during the off-season.

“Once we received the full-season commitment from C&J Energy Services, the time was right to step up our program even more,” said Vandergriff. “We already had a great crew and have added to it which, along with putting our operation right in the heart of the drag racing industry in Brownsburg, enhances our chances of success this season.”
