Must See To Sanction Little 500 Again In 2011
ANDERSON, Ind. — Must See Racing will once again serve as the official sanctioning body for the Pay Less Little 500, which will be held for the 63rd time May 28 at Anderson Speedway.
As in the past, officiating of the race will continue to be under Anderson Speedway control. Pay Less Little 500 week will be similar to the 2010 schedule with a 60-lap Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series winged sprint-car race held May 25. There will again be two days of qualifying May 26-27 for the 63rd running of the event May 28.
“We are very proud of our relationship with Anderson Speedway and the opportunity to associate our name with the most prestigious sprint-car race in the country,” said Jim Hanks, president of Must See Racing.
Highland Celebrating 50 Years
HIGHLAND, Ill. — Highland Speedway will celebrate its 50th anniversary next season, and plans are in place to improve the facility for the fans and the competitors.
Promoter Scott Kuhn said that the track would be working on many changes at the facility, including the repositioning of dirt to increase competition during each race. Kuhn also said that United Midwest Promoters (UMP) would have a stronger presence at the track next year, including having two full time UMP officials at the track during every event.
Petrocci Memorial Rescheduled
WEEDSPORT, N.Y. — The Petrocci Memorial at New York’s Rolling Wheels Raceway Park will make way for the Super DIRTcar Series big-block modified Labor Day Classic at Cayuga County Fair Speedway in 2011.
The Petrocci Memorial, originally scheduled for Sept. 4, was moved after new Cayuga County promoter Eric Kingsley announced plans for the Labor Day Classic to be held the same day. A new race date for the Petrocci Memorial will be announced later.

Bryan Clauson claimed three championships with his victory in the 70th running of the Turkey Night Grand Prix Thursday at Toyota Speedway @ Irwindale, Calif. Not only did he claim the USAC Mopar National Midget Series crown, he also locked up the USAC National Driver’s Championship and the National Midget Driver of the Year Award.
