Young Sprint Ace Tyler Wolf Killed At Calistoga

CALISTOGA, Calif. – Tyler Wolf, the 2011 Silver Dollar Speedway sprint-car champion, died Saturday night from injuries sustained in a crash at Calistoga Speedway.
The 20-year-old racer crashed his sprint-car head on into the wall at the exit of turn two Saturday. He was transported via ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Wolf, 20, was the youngest driver to win the Silver Dollar sprint-car championship, taking the title when he was 19 years old. Wolf had success racing both winged and non-winged sprint cars.
