Motorcycle-Superstore.com Backs AMA

Motorcycle-Superstore.com will continue its support of AMA Pro Road Racing’s SuperSport class.

MEDFORD, Ore. — For the third consecutive season, Motorcycle-Superstore.com has renewed its position as the Official Motorcycle Parts and Apparel Online Retailer of the GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro Road Racing Series and the title sponsor of the SuperSport division.

As part of the title rights agreement, Motorcycle Superstore has posted a $25,000 points fund for the SuperSport series, which will be awarded to the overall champion and top-three finishers in each division, along with the newly-created Superstore Sportsmanship award.

“We are excited to have Motorcycle Superstore return to the paddock with us for the 2013 season,” said Michael Gentry, Chief Operating Officer of AMA Pro Racing. “The relationship in years past between Motorcycle Superstore and AMA Pro Racing have clearly been very beneficial for all parties involved. We are very thankful for the continued dedication and support the company has granted AMA Pro Racing competitors through the Motorcycle Superstore Year-End Points Funds.”

The overall points champion and the Superstore Sportsmanship Award winner will receive $2,500 each from the points fund. The rest of the monies will be distributed to the top points finishers in both the East and West Coast divisions, with each first-place rider earning $5,000, each second-place pro taking $3,000 and both third-place finishers pocketing $2,000.

“The Superstore Sportsmanship Award will go to the recipient who attends every round of the AMA Pro Motorcycle-Superstore.com SuperSport series and who best displays sportsman-like qualities including fairness, respect and fellowship towards their competitors and the race staff,” said Tim Clark, Director Sports Marketing for Motorcycle Superstore. “The winner will convey an enthusiastic image and positive public promotion of the sport throughout the season. They will be selected by Motorcycle-Superstore.com through a cumulative effort including recommendations from members of the paddock, the industry and AMA Pro Racing officials.”
