Armstrong Loses Truck Series Ride

SANDUSKY, Ohio – NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team ThorSport Racing has parted ways with Dakoda Armstrong, citing a lack of sponsorship as the reason for the split.

“We have been very lucky this season with the partners that the Armstrong’s have brought to the No. 98 truck,” said team spokesman Matt LaNeve. “However, sponsorship funding was unable to be secured for the remaining eight races, resulting in ThorSport Racing having to part ways with Dakoda.”

Armstrong competed in 21 races between 2011 and 2012 in the ThorSport Racing No. 98, earning a best finish of third earlier this season at Michigan Int’l Speedway.

The team intends to continue to field entries for Johnny Sauter and Matt Crafton in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and Frank Kimmel in the ARCA Racing Series for the rest of the season.
