SPARTA, Ky. – James Buescher continued his dominance of the 1.5-mile ovals Friday night, winning the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Kentucky 201 at Kentucky Speedway.

Buescher drove away from the field during a restart with 23 laps to go and was never seriously challenged during the final run to the checkered flag, winning by 1.292 seconds. It was his fourth victory of the season, which leads the series.

“We’ve had some tough breaks this year, so to win races when you have the opportunity is really cool,” Buescher said. “Clean air was really important. Once we got this Fraternal Order of Eagles Chevy up front it was on kill. It was driving great.”

Parker Kligerman spun through the grass on the front stretch but managed to drive back through the field to finish second in the No. 7 Red Horse Racing Toyota.

“I’m disappointed. I let my team down,” said Kligerman after his fifth career second-place finish. “We came here with the intention, with where we are in points, to lead a lap and win the race. Then I spun out racing for third.

“We came back and I’m proud of these guys. We didn’t put a mark on the truck. We can’t make mistakes like that and win a championship,” Kligerman said.

Championship leader Ty Dillon finished third ahead of Richard Childress Racing teammate Joey Coulter. Brian Scott completed the top five.

Dillon maintained the championship lead by four points over Buescher.
