KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Nothing was going to stop Kyle Busch from winning the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ STP 250 Friday night at Kansas Speedway.

Busch out-ran Truck Series regular Matt Crafton and fellow Sprint Cup drivers Joey Logano and Austin Dillon to record his second win of the season. It’s the 37th Truck Series win of Busch’s career, and the ninth time he won from the pole.

Busch led a race-high 104 laps and held off a stirring charge from Logano in the closing laps. Logano, driving a truck owned by Team Penske teammate Brad Keselowski, rallied from outside the top 10 to third.

He still had nothing for Busch as the laps wound down.

“I can’t say enough about everyone from Kyle Busch Motorsports,” Busch said. “They do such a great job for me and they’re a lot of fun to work with. The pit stops were awesome.

“Not very many times have I won in front of the fans at Kansas. Those guys raced really hard. Crafton, he’s a friend of mine, but I’m mad at him right now. He was just racing really hard there.”

Busch’s crew chief, Eric Phillips, recorded a Truck Series-record 29th career win atop the pit box.

Tayler Malsam rounded out the top five. Jeb Burton wound up sixth, followed by German Quiroga, Ron Hornaday, Joe Nemechek and Mason Mingus.

Crafton took over the points lead by eight over Hornaday and Timothy Peters.

Busch’s KBM teammate, Darrell Wallace Jr., finished 15th.
