Dillon Trucks To Kentucky Triumph

Once out front Dillon hit the afterburners, pulling away from the field to a convincing 5.736-second victory. It was his first victory of the season and second of his career in the Truck Series.

“Man, this couldn’t be a better day,” Dillon said. “We have a strong team and we won’t give up. We’re pretty hard headed. I hope these guys are ready. We’re going to have a Superman cape on. Now we’re ready (to win).”

Keselowski was able to chase down Busch and pass him with 13 laps left to finish second despite multiple unscheduled pit stops and an unknown problem early in the race that forced him to battle back through the field.

“I thought something was wrong, but who knows. I might have screwed it up,” Keselowski said about the unknown issue with his truck. “It didn’t feel right and when we came in and pit new tires on all of a sudden it was OK again. I don’t know if we had a bad set of tires or something, but the truck was undriveable early on.”

Busch finished third, followed by James Buescher and Blaney.
