MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Alliance Truck Parts has extended its sponsorship of the No.12 Penske Racing Ford driven by Sam Hornish Jr. in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

Alliance Truck Parts will be a primary sponsor of the No. 12 for 17 races and an associate sponsor on the car for the balance of the NNS races this season.

“We have a terrific partnership with Alliance Truck Parts and we look forward to continuing to grow with them in the future,” said Roger Penske. “Alliance works closely with many of our Penske Corporation companies so this is a special relationship and we are happy that it has expanded to success with the No. 12 Nationwide Series car with Sam (Hornish Jr.) behind the wheel.”

Alliance Truck Parts came on board as a Penske Racing partner in 2011. Hornish earned his first NASCAR victory racing the distinctive yellow Alliance Truck Parts car as he claimed victory in the NNS race at Phoenix late that season. In 2012, Alliance Truck Parts was the primary sponsor on the No. 12 machine for the majority of NNS events as Hornish earned 10 top-five results and finished fourth in the series championship.

“Alliance Truck Parts is happy to extend its partnership with Penske Racing,” said Friedrich Baumann, senior vice president, Aftermarket at Daimler Trucks North America, LLC. “Last season was a productive one for the Alliance Truck Parts team and we are excited to be back working with Sam Hornish Jr., and the No. 12 team to try and win races and the series title in 2013.”

Hornish, the former three-time IndyCar Series champion and the 2006 Indianapolis 500 winner, will continue to be featured in Alliance Truck Parts’ marketing and media activation initiatives.

“It’s awesome that Alliance Truck Parts is back on board with us at Penske Racing,” said Hornish. “Alliance is a great company to work with and represent and we’re all looking for a special season together this year.”
