Turner Motorsports Adds Mikey Kile
MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Turner Motorsports has added Mikey Kile to its list of NASCAR Nationwide Series drivers.
Kile, a 28-year-old native of Westlake, La., will drive the No. 30 Turner Motorsports Chevrolet in a minimum of seven events. His first race with the team will be at Nashville Superspeedway in Lebanon, Tenn., April 23.
“This is such a great opportunity for me. Turner Motorsports has proven it is a top-tier organization with talented employees and drivers. Their equipment is some of the best in the sport and I am excited about getting a chance to race in it,” said Kile. “I worked with Stewart [Cooper, crew chief] in my Nationwide Series debut and I am glad I get the chance to work with him again. He and the No. 30 crew all have experience working with rookies and they have been so helpful already. I also have a great group of teammates, with a wealth of experience, who I can lean on as I make my way into the Nationwide Series.”
Kile began his racing career in go-karts before moving on to modifieds and late models. He made his NASCAR debut in 2009 by driving a partial NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule for Brad Keselowski Racing.
Last year Kile ran the full ARCA Racing Series schedule with Venturini Motorsports, earning his first series victory at Michigan Int’l Speedway in Brooklyn, Mich., and finishing fifth in points.
