CONCORD, N.C. — Richard Petty Motorsports will once again fly the colors of the United States Air Force on the iconic No. 43 in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series this season.

It marks the sixth consecutive year that the U.S. Air Force and RPM have teamed up in an effort to connect with America’s best young adults.

Aric Almirola will pilot the Air Force Racing Ford for the two most patriotic race weekends of the year — Memorial Day weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway and the Fourth of July weekend race at Daytona (Fla.) Int’l Speedway.

In addition, Almirola will continue to support at-track swear-ins for the Delayed Entry Program and entertain active duty military guests.

As part of the partnership, the U.S. Air Force will remain an associate partner on the historic No. 43 for the entirety of the season.

The Air Force will continue its experiential marketing at NASCAR races, bringing the No. 43 U.S. Air Force Ford show car and “Hangar 43” and will also continue to hold swear-in ceremonies of Airmen in the Delayed Entry Program at NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races.

Proving a great fit for the U.S. Air Force, Almirola was born on Eglin Air Force base in Florida while his dad served in the Air Force and appreciates the partnership and what it means for the Air Force.

“It helps a lot. It’s great to have the Air Force back. I’m an Air Force brat,” Almirola said. “My dad was in the Air Force, so it’s really cool to represent them. We host a lot of kids getting ready to swear into the Air Force every weekend and we have a lot of the high-ranking officials come each and every weekend, so that’s a lot of fun to represent that brand and represent the U.S. Air Force.”
