Logano finished third after the last-lap contact.

“He probably shouldn’t have done what he did last week, so that is what he gets,” Logano said, referencing Hamlin. “Besides that, our Auto Club Ford was very strong all day. I was very happy with the car we had. We were fast, led a lot of laps. Nothing to hang our heads down about.”

The drama wasn’t over for Logano after the last-lap crash, as Tony Stewart confronted him on pit road following the race and punches were thrown. Stewart was apparently unhappy with the way Logano blocked him during the final restart on lap 189.

“I had to throw the block there, that was a race for the lead,” Logano said. “I felt like with the 14 (Stewart) underneath me that was going to be the end of my opportunity to win the race.”

Stewart, who finished 22nd, was very blunt when asked about the post-race scuffle with Logano.

“What the hell do you think I was mad about? The dumb little (expletive) ran us clear down to the infield. He wants to (expletive) about everybody else and he is the one who drives like a (expletive). I’m gonna bust his (expletive),” Stewart said.

Carl Edwards finished the race in fourth ahead of Kurt Busch in fifth. Hamlin finished 25th and was taken to a local medical facility after the last-lap crash for further evaluation.

Earnhardt now has a 12-point lead in the championship standings over defending series champion Brad Keselowski.
