Anderson Lands K&N East Drive
MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Jordan Anderson got an unexpected phone call in the midnight hours Tuesday from NASCAR K&N East series team owner Randy MacDonald.
The seasoned car owner has known Anderson for years and had a purpose for the late night call.
MacDonald was calling to hire Anderson to drive the team’s No. 49 in this weekend’s NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race at Greenville Pickens Speedway.
“I’ve gotten to know Jordan over the past couple years and have really taken notice of his work ethic and passion for the sport. The success he had on track last year was phenomenal, and I just really feel that he can deliver us a great finish this weekend,” said MacDonald. “He does a great job marketing himself, and knows what it takes to get to the racetrack. He understands the business of the sport, as well as the mechanics of the car and delivers when it comes to finishes.”
The start for Anderson will be his debut in the NASCAR K&N series and will be his first visit to the track.
“I’m really honored by the faith that was shown and opportunity that Randy and his team have given me to drive their car this weekend,” said Anderson. “I’ve always worked hard — both in the race shop and boardroom —- to make things happen for my racing career. To have last weekend come together on the late model program with Darlington Raceway and Coulter Motorsports, and now this — it’s been amazing to see the blessings that come as a result of the late hours and dedication that have been given to the sport that I love so much. For my first NASCAR K&N series race to come in my home state makes in even more special.”
